Diet and Exercise - Food is a Part of Identity

Each patient has their own perception about what healthy living entails.

For African Americans, food is an integral part of their ethnic identity and tradition. Switching to diets low in sodium and saturated fat has been shown to be more challenging for many African Americans.

A healthy diet combined with exercise can help your patients lose weight.
